If you weren’t in Vienna last week at the 2011 EAGE conference, then you missed our big reveal, when more than 15 participating IAGC members played a dynamic video touting the benefits of geophysical technology simultaneously during the opening night reception.
The video was just a part of Geophysicsrocks.com --IAGC’s new website, built to promote awareness of the geophysical industry and the role we play in making oil and gas exploration safer, smarter and more environmentally conscious. You can see the video on our website’s homepage – we hope you’ll share it proudly with colleagues, friends and family.
There are many reasons we feel like this website is exactly what the industry needs, but the site’s main goal is to serve the media, the government, financial analysts and most importantly-our peers! We see the site as a resource for education on our industry and the vital role we play in the oil and gas industry. We also hope to attract budding geophysicists-as they search for the right academic program to start their journey and beyond, as they look for jobs.
We hope you love it as much as we do and remember-Geophysics Rocks!
